Lucas Román
Lucas Ayrton "Pocho" Román (born 10 February 2004) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Independiente. Born in Argentina, he has represented both Argentina and Italy in their youth teams. Club career A youth product of Ferro Carril Oeste since the age of 6, Román signed his first professional contract with the side on 23 July 2020 until 2022. He made his professional debut with the club in a Primera Nacional match against Quilmes on 28 February 2022. He extended his contract with the club on 3 June 2022, until December 2023. Barcelona On 18 January 2023, Barcelona Atlètic announced an agreement with Ferro Carril Oeste to sign Román on a permanent deal, as the player signed a contract up to 30 June 2026, including a 400 million euro release clause. 2023 South American U-20 Championship
The 2023 South American U-20 Championship was the 30th edition of the South American U-20 Championship (, ), the biennial international youth football championship organised by CONMEBOL for the men's under-20 national teams of South America. It was held in Colombia between 19 January and 12 February 2023. The South American U-20 Championship returned after 4 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic forcing CONMEBOL to cancel the tournament in 2021. The tournament served as qualifier for two international events. The top four teams qualified for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup as the CONMEBOL representatives. The 2024 Primera Federación play-offs (''Playoffs de Ascenso'' or ''Promoción de Ascenso'') are the final play-offs for promotion from 2023–24 Primera Federación to the 2024–25 Segunda División. Format Teams ranked second through fifth in each of the two groups will qualify for the promotion play-off, which will determine the last two promotion spots. The eight qualified teams will be drawn into two fixed brackets, each of which will contain the second and fifth-place finishers from one group and the third and fourth-place finishers from the other. The 2022 Argentine Primera Nacional, also known as the Campeonato de Primera Nacional Torneo Malvinas Argentinas 2022, was the 38th season of the Primera Nacional, the second tier competition of Argentine football. The season began on 11 February and ended on 19 November 2022. Thirty-seven teams competed in the league, thirty-three returning from the 2021 season, two teams promoted from Torneo Federal A and two from Primera B Metropolitana. Belgrano were the champions, clinching direct promotion as well as their first title in the competition with two matches in hand and a 3–2 victory over Brown (A) on 25 September 2022.
