Lubonjë
Vithkuq () is a village and a former municipality in the Korçë County, southeastern Albania. At the 2015 local government reform it became a subdivision of the municipality Korçë. The population at the 2011 census was 1,519. The municipal unit consists of the villages Vithkuq, Leshnje, Gjanc, Lubonjë, Rehovë, Roshanj, Trebickë, Grabockë, Treskë, Stratobërdh, Panarit, Shtyllë and Cemericë. The village gave its name to a particular Albanian alphabetic script, the Vithkuqi script. Name The place name ''Vithkuqi'' (variant ''Bythkuqi'') means "red butt" in Albanian. It is a compound of two Albanian words: ''bythë'' and ''vithë'' are dialectal forms of the word "butt"; ''kuqi'' means "red". Korçë (; sq-definite, Korça) is the List of cities and towns in Albania, eighth most populous city of Albania and the seat of Korçë County and Korçë Municipality. The total population of the city is 51,152 and 75,994 of Korçë municipality (2011 census), in a total area of . Spiro Dine
Spiro Risto Dine (1846–1922) was an Albanian rilindas, writer and playwright. His most known work "Waves of the Sea" was at the time of its publication the longest book printed in Albanian. Life Spiro Dine was born in 1846 in Vithkuq, in the region of Korçë, southeastern Albania. In 1866 he migrated to Egypt at an Albanian colony, where he met Thimi Mitko, an Albanian folklorist from Korçë and helped him complete his work on Albanian folklore titled "The Albanian Bee" (). His work Waves of the Sea (), a collection of Albanian history and literature was published at Sofia and at the time of its publication in 1908 it was the longest book printed in the Albanian language. Mehmet Ismail Shehu (January 10, 1913 – December 18, 1981) was an Albanian Communism, communist politician who served as the Prime Minister of Albania, Prime Minister of the People's Socialist Republic of Albania from 1954 to 1981. Albanian National Liberation Army
The National Liberation Movement (; or ''Lëvizja Antifashiste Nacional-Çlirimtare'' (LANÇ)), also translated as National Liberation Front, was an Albanian communist resistance organization that fought in World War II. It was created on 16 September 1942, in a conference held in Pezë, a village near Tirana, and was led by Enver Hoxha. Apart from the figures which had the majority in the General Council it also included known nationalists like Myslim Peza although the Partisans under Yugoslav influence ended up executing numerous Albanian nationalist figures.
