Los Títeres
''Los títeres'' (lit: ''The Puppets'') is a Chilean soap opera created by Sergio Vodanović, that aired on Canal 13 from March 5, to August 3, 1984, starring Claudia Di Girólamo and Gloria Münchmeyer. Plot The title, literally "The Marionettes", is taken from the marionettes that are made with the main characters as models. These are used later by one of Adriana's old friends, a kindergarten teacher, to tell fairy tales to the children she teaches. It's also a metaphor, referring to the way people are obsessed with money and power which pull on them like puppet strings. In the early '60s, a relatively rich Greek man named Constantino Mykonos (Walter Kliche) and his 17-year-old daughter Artemisa (Claudia Di Girólamo) arrive in Chile. Sergio Vodanović
Sergio Vodanović Pistelli (1926–2001) was a Croatian–Chilean lawyer, journalist, dramatist and television writer. His works were critical of corruption and social structures. He studied theater at Columbia and Yale Universities. He was professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and the Universidad de Concepción. Career As playwright Vodanovic was born in Split, Croatia in 1926. Shortly after, he moved to Chile. His first works were light comedies acted by commercial theater companies. In 1959, Vodanović began to write for the university theaters, leading to a change in style. He adopted a neorealistic style, critically representing diverse aspects of the socio-political reality of his country through drama and comedy. Mauricio Santiago Pešutić Pérez (b. Punta Arenas May 3, 1948) is a Chilean Actor with a long career on tv soap operas, film and theatre. He studied Drama and Film Direction at the Catholic University of Chile. He also wrote and directed 3 short films in the 1970s. He has performed a wide range of roles but stands out as the villain. In 2001 he was awarded best supporting actor at the APES awards, and in 2002 he won the Altazor prize for best TV actor. María Carolina Arregui Vuskovic (born August 26, 1965) is a Chilean television actress of Croatian and Basque descent. Although she never attended drama school, she is considered to be one of Chile's most popular and gifted actresses. Biography She debuted at age 17 in the telenovela ''El Juego de la Vida''.
