Los Invasores De Nuevo León
Los Invasores de Nuevo León are a Mexican norteño band founded in 1977. The first members of the group was Eduardo "Lalo" Mora, Isidro "Chilo" Rodríguez, Luis González, Leo Márquez, Damián Ochoa, Mario Lara, César Domínguez and Mario Avena. Javier Ríos was the accordionist of Luis y Julián before joining Los Invasores de Nuevo León. He joined Lalo Mora, Homero de León and Eliud López. The group would become very popular on both sides of the Texas-Mexico border during the 1980s and 1990s. Many of their songs are still played on radio to this day, such as ''Laurita Garza, Eslabón por Eslabón, Ni Dada La Quiero, Amor a la Ligera, Ni Que Tuvieras Tanta Suerte, Playa Sola, Aguanta Corazón, Mi Casa Nueva and A Mí que Me Quedo''. Norteño (music)
''Norteño'' or ''norteña'' (, ''northern''), also ''música norteña'', is a subgenre of regional Mexican music. The music is most often based on duple and triple metre and its lyrics often deal with socially relevant topics, although there are also many norteño love songs. The accordion and the bajo sexto are traditional norteño's most characteristic instruments. The genre is popular in both Mexico and the United States, especially among the Mexican and Mexican-American community, and it has become popular in other Spanish-speaking countries as far away as Chile. Lalo Mora
Eduardo Mora Hernández, known simply as Lalo Mora, (born January 24, 1947, in Los Ramones, Nuevo León) is a Mexican norteño singer. Beginnings Lalo Mora was born in Los Ramones, Nuevo León, on January 24, 1947, under the name Eduardo Mora Hernández. He started singing in bars and was soon known around his hometown, where he made a duet known as Lupe y Lalo. Career In 1980 he formed the famous group Los Invasores de Nuevo León. Bajo Sexto
The bajo sexto ( Spanish: "sixth bass") is a Mexican string instrument from the guitar family with 12 strings in six double courses. It is played in a similar manner to the guitar, with the left hand changing the pitch with the frets on a fingerboard while the right hand plucks or strums the strings with or without a pick. Its original design was meant to accompany accordion players (and fiddlers) and thus offer a plethora of possibilities with only two musicians. This dynamic is a staple in regional Mexican styles, even with groups consisting of multiple instruments. The introduction of bass players eventually led to many players no longer using the lowest pair of strings.
