Sisters Of Loreto
The Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary, whose members are commonly known as the Loreto Sisters, is a Roman Catholic religious congregation of women dedicated to education founded in Saint-Omer by an Englishwoman, Mary Ward (nun), Mary Ward, in 1609. The congregation takes its name from the Marian shrine at Loreto, Marche, Loreto in Italy where Ward used to pray. Ward was declared Venerable by Pope Benedict XVI on 19 December 2009. The Loreto Sisters use the initials I.B.V.M. after their names. Caitriona Jennings (born 17 June 1980; from Letterkenny, County Donegal) is an Irish Long-distance track event, long distance runner who competed in the marathon at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, United Kingdom. Joe McHugh (born 16 July 1971) is an Irish former Fine Gael politician from Carrigart, County Donegal. A Teachta Dála (TD) for the Donegal North-East constituency from 2007 to 2016 and the Donegal constituency from 2016 to 2024, he served as Minister of State from 2014 to 2018, including as Government Chief Whip from 2017 to 2018.
