Lluís Brines I Garcia
Lluís Brines i Garcia (or Luis Brines García in Spanish) (Barcelona, 1971) is a Catalan researcher, whose paternal family comes from Simat de la Valldigna (Safor). He is the son of the musician Lluís Brines Selfa. He has lived in Valencian Country since 1989. He is a specialist in Francesc Eiximenis, about whom he wrote his doctoral dissertation. He is the creator of the antiblavers website and was its administrator until 2011. He is also Franciscan tertiary. Valentí Fàbrega
Valentí Fàbrega i Escatllar (Barcelona, 1931) is a Catalan Philologist and Theologian, who lives since 1971 in Cologne. Life Valentí Fàbrega i Escatllar was born in 1931 in Barcelona. He belonged until 1971 to the Jesuit Order. During this time he got several university degrees (Humanities, Philosophy and Theology among others). He became Doctor of Theology in the University of Innsbruck. He studied for two years in the Protestant Faculty of Theology of the Heidelberg University. He was also temporary teacher in the Theology College of the Jesuits in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona) and in the Comillas Pontifical University (Madrid). North-American Catalan Society
The North American Catalan Society or NACS is a professional association that joins researchers, students and people in general, especially in the United States and Canada, that show or have interest in any aspect of culture from the Catalan Countries and the Catalan language (literature, linguistics, arts, history and philosophy, amongst others). Ramon Llull
Ramon Llull (; c. 1232 – c. 1315/16) was a philosopher, theologian, poet, missionary, and Christian apologist from the Kingdom of Majorca. He invented a philosophical system known as the ''Art'', conceived as a type of universal logic to prove the truth of Christian doctrine to interlocutors of all faiths and nationalities. The ''Art'' consists of a set of general principles and combinatorial operations. It is illustrated with diagrams. A prolific writer, he is also known for his literary works written in Catalan, which he composed to make his ''Art'' accessible to a wider audience. In addition to Catalan and Latin he also probably wrote in Arabic (although no texts in Arabic survive). His books were translated into Occitan, French, and Castilian during his lifetime. Regiment De La Cosa Pública
The Regiment de la Cosa Pública (Government of the Republic) is a work that has 38 chapters and that was written in Catalan by Francesc Eiximenis in 1383. It was just written after Eiximenis' arrival in Valencia, and it was dedicated to the ''jurats'' (representatives of the city). General information This dedicatory to the "jurats" is what gives us some clues about the period when this book was written. A revue is a type of multi-act popular theatrical entertainment that combines music, dance, and sketches. Valentí Serra De Manresa
Valentí Serra i Fornell (Manresa, Bages, 1959), is a Spanish Capuchin and priest, whose religious name is Valentí Serra de Manresa. Biography He was born in a Catalan traditional family of farmers and ranchers. He became Capuchin in 1980 and he took the vows of saint Francis' rule on 30 October 1982. Once he finished his years of religious instruction, he became priest on 31 May 1987 in the Capuchin convent of Arenys de Mar. Then he moved to the Sarrià Capuchins, where he lives nowadays. He became Doctor in History in the University of Barcelona in 1995. He is scientific partner of the Theology Faculty of Catalonia (2007). The Acadèmia Valenciana de la Llengua ("Valencian Academy of the Language"), also known by the acronym AVL, is an institution created on September 16, 1998, by the Valencian Parliament, which belongs to the set of official institutions that compose the Generalitat Valenciana, according to the Act of Autonomy of the Valencian Community.
