Ljubiša Savić
Ljubiša "Mauzer" Savić ( sr-cyr, Љубиша Маузер Савић; 11 August 1958 – 7 June 2000) was a Bosnian Serb military commander and officer during the Bosnian War and a post-war politician. He led the Panthers Guard Special Brigade which was one of the most elite units of the Army of Republika Srpska during the war. After the war, he became the chief of police in Bijeljina. He was assassinated in Bijeljina in 2000, due to suspected gang violence in the city after three gunmen reportedly fired upon his jeep. The first attempt on Savić's life happened in July 1998. Two former Republika Srpska soldiers, Stojan Maksimović and Vladimir Neretljak, were killed in an explosion outside his house. Savić accused Momčilo Krajišnik, the then leader of the SDS, and pro-Belgrade elements in the entity's security services of attempting to plant a bomb under his car. The Operation Autumn '94 (in Bosnian: ''Operacija Jesen '94''), also called the Second Mitrovdan offensive (in Serbian Latin: ''Druga mitrovdanska ofanziva''; in Serbian Cyrillic: ''Друга митровданска офанзива'') was an operation carried out by the ARBiH against the VRS during the Bosnian War, with the goal of taking control over Podvelež and Velež, south-east of Mostar. Background Throughout 1994, Bosniak forces in Herzegovina directed their attacks on the Herzegovina Corps of the Army of Republika Srpska during the Siege of Mostar. Radovan Karadžić
Radovan Karadžić ( sr-Cyrl, Радован Караџић, ; born 19 June 1945) is a Serbs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnian Serb politician who was convicted of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). He was the president of Republika Srpska, president of Republika Srpska (1992–1995), Republika Srpska during the Bosnian War. Trained as a psychiatrist, he co-founded the Serb Democratic Party (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Serb Democratic Party in Bosnia and Herzegovina and served as the first president of Republika Srpska from 1992 to 1996. Serb Democratic Party (Bosnia And Herzegovina)
The Serb Democratic Party ( or СДС/SDS) is a Serb List of political parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina, political party in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its current leader is Milan Miličević. In the parliamentary elections of October 2006, the SDS lost its status as the leading party in Republika Srpska and the main Serb party in Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), led by the President of Republika Srpska, president of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik. Despite making minor gains in the 2010 and 2014 elections, by 2018 the party had fallen to below 20% of the parliament, the lowest seat standing in its history. Momčilo Krajišnik
Momčilo Krajišnik (; 20 January 1945 – 15 September 2020) was a Bosnian Serb political leader and convicted war criminal, who along with Radovan Karadžić co-founded the Bosnian Serb nationalist Serb Democratic Party (SDS). Between 1990 and 1992, he was speaker of the People's Assembly of Republika Srpska. Between June and December 1992, Krajišnik also served as a member of the expanded Presidency of Republika Srpska. After the Bosnian War, he was elected Serb member of the tripartite Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the September 1996 election and served in that post from October 1996 until October 1998. He lost his bid for re-election in 1998 to Živko Radišić.
