Ljubinka Bobić Award
The Ljubinka Bobić Award is a Serbian-based award given to critically and commercially successful actors, excelling in comedy, since 2006. The award, presented by the Union of Serbian Dramatists, is named after Ljubinki Bobić, an acclaimed 20th-century actress notable for performances in theatre, film and television. The first laureate of the award is Jelisaveta Seka Sablić, for the role of Majka Dara in the comedy ''Svinjski otac'', directed by Aleksandar Popović in the Krusovice theatre. The Belgrade Drama Theatre ( sr-cyr, Београдско драмско позориште; abbr. BDP) is a theatre located in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. History Belgrade Drama Theatre was founded in August 1947, and it was the first city theater formed in Belgrade after the Second World War. The first opening night of "The Youth of the Fathers" by Boris Gorbatov staged by Petar S. Petrović was performed on the stage on 20 February 1948. ''Towards The End Of The Morning'' is a 1967 satirical novel by Michael Frayn about journalists working on a British newspaper during the heyday of Fleet Street. Its protagonists work to compile the miscellaneous, unimportant parts of the newspaper – the "nature notes" column, the religious "thought for the day", the crossword and so on. The paper seems sunk in a state of torpor, and the journalists' work is extremely dull.
