Liz Nicholl
Dame Elizabeth Mary Nicholl (''née'' Daley; born August 1952) is a Welsh sports administrator and former netball player. She served as chief executive of UK Sport from 2010 to 2019, and is the current president of World Netball, having been re-elected for a second term of 4 years in 2023 and Chair of the World Netball Foundation, launched in 2023. Early life and education Nicholl was born in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, the sixth of seven children. Her father was a junior schoolteacher and coached his school's football and cricket teams. She played various sports growing up and tried to compete with the boys on her father's teams. She began playing netball competitively and played at university. One of her coaches at university was Sue Campbell, now Baroness Campbell, who also served as Chair of UK Sport. Netball is a ball sport played on a rectangular court by two teams of seven players. The primary objective is to shoot a ball through the defender's goal ring while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own. Molly May Rhone OJ, CD, OD (born November 1944) is a Jamaican sports administrator and former netball player. She served as president of the International Netball Federation (INF) from 2003 to 2019. Early life and education Rhone was born in November 1944 in Manchester to parents Violet and Adolfus Dacosta. She attended Knox College, a high school in Spalding, Clarendon, where she started playing netball, and was also active in the school's athletics team. Rhone studied information technology (IT) at the Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto (Canada), graduating with a diploma in 1969. Hitchin () is a market town in the North Hertfordshire Districts of England, district of Hertfordshire, England. The town dates from at least the 7th century.
