Listán Prieto (not to be confused with Listán Negro) is a red grape variety that is believed to be originated from the Castilla-La Mancha region in Spain. Listán Prieto has disappeared from Spain mainland, but there are still 29 ha planted on the Canary Islands in 2008.J. Robinson et.al. Listán Negro (not to be confused with Listán Prieto) is a red Spanish wine grape variety that is widely planted in the Canary Islands, particularly on the island of Tenerife where it is a permitted variety in the '' Denominaciones de Origen'' (DO) wines of Tacoronte-Acentejo, Valle de la Orotava, Ycoden-Daute-Isora, and Valle de Güímar. Criolla Chica
Pais is a red wine grape that has played a prominent role in the Chilean wine industry. Up until the turn of the 21st century, it was Chile's most planted variety until it was overtaken by Cabernet Sauvignon. Today it is most commonly used in the production of jug wine in the Bío-Bío, Maule and Itata River regions in the south. The grape is sometimes known as ''Negra Peruana''. Chile (wine)
Chile has a long history in the production of wine, with roots dating back to the 16th century when the Spanish conquistadors introduced ''Vitis vinifera'' vines to the region. In the mid-19th century, French wine varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenère, and Cabernet Franc were introduced. During the early 1980s, the Chilean wine industry underwent a renaissance with the introduction of stainless steel fermentation tanks and the use of oak barrels for aging. This led to a rapid growth in exports as quality wine production increased. The number of wineries in Chile rose from 12 in 1995 to over 70 in 2005. The party País was a leftist political party in Chile founded by Alejandro Navarro, a Senator formerly a member of the MAS Region party, supporting his candidacy for President in 2017. País was presented in Santiago on 3 September 2016; on the 10th of the same month it was founded in the city of Concepción. One of its founders was Chilean senator Alejandro Navarro. Among the party's proposals was the elimination of the Chilean pensions system sistema de AFP as well as to achieve free education at all levels. It was part of the All Over Chile alliance. On 22 May 2017, the party delivered 8,500 signatures of new members from six different regions to the Central Electoral Board Servicio Electoral in order to legalise the party on those areas; at the same time, it was announced that Alejandro Navarro would run in the presidential race. Mexico (wine)
Mexican wine and wine making began with the Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire, arrival of the Spanish in the 16th century, when they brought Vitis vinifera, vines from Europe to modern day Mexico, the oldest wine-growing region in the Americas. Although there were indigenous grapes before the Spanish conquest, the Spaniards found that Spanish grapevines also did very well in the colony of New Spain (Mexico) and by the 17th century wine exports from Spain to the New World fell. In 1699, Charles II of Spain prohibited wine making in Mexico, with the exception of wine for Church purposes. From then until Mexican War of Independence, Mexico’s Independence, wine was produced in Mexico only on a small scale.
