In system administration, orchestration is the automated configuration, coordination, deployment, development, and management of computer systems and software. Many tools exist to automate server configuration and management. Usage Orchestration is often discussed in the context of service-oriented architecture, virtualization, provisioning, converged infrastructure and dynamic data center topics. Orchestration in this sense is about aligning the business request with the applications, data, and infrastructure. Continuous configuration automation (CCA) is the methodology or process of automating the deployment and configuration of settings and software for both physical and virtual data center equipment. StackStorm (abbreviation: ST2) is an open source event-driven platform for runbook automation. Salt or SaltStack is an infrastructure as code software tool for configuration management. It is written in Python and published under the Apache License 2.0.
