Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a heavier subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and Distortion (music), distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the Garage rock, garage, Psychedelic rock, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, the Rolling Stones, Cream (band), Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. In the late 1960s, bands such as Blue Cheer, the Jeff Beck Group, Iron Butterfly, Led Zeppelin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Golden Earring, Steppenwolf (band), Steppenwolf, Grand Funk, Free (band), Free, and Deep Purple also produced hard rock. The Angels (Australian Band)
The Angels are an Australian rock band that formed in 1974 in Adelaide as the Keystone Angels with Bernard "Doc" Neeson on lead vocals and bass guitar, John Brewster on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, his brother Rick Brewster on lead guitar and backing vocals, and Peter "Charlie" King on drums. In 1976, King was replaced by Graham "Buzz" Bidstrup on drums, Chris Bailey took over bass duties so Neeson could focus solely on vocals, and they changed their name to just 'the Angels'. Their studio albums that peaked in the Australian top 10 are ''No Exit'' (1979), '' Dark Room'' (1980), '' Night Attack'' (1981), '' Two Minute Warning'' (1984), ''Howling'' (1986) and '' Beyond Salvation'' (1990). Sebastian Bach
Sebastian Philip Bierk (born April 3, 1968), known professionally as Sebastian Bach, is a Canadian-American singer who achieved mainstream success as the frontman of the hard rock band Skid Row from 1987 to 1996. He has acted on Broadway and has made appearances in film and television such as ''Trailer Park Boys'', '' The Masked Singer'' and ''Gilmore Girls''. He continues his music career as a solo artist. Early years Bach was born in the Bahamas, the son of artist David Bierk and was raised in Peterborough, Ontario after the family moved there in the early 1970s for his father's teaching job. Baby Animals
Baby Animals is an Australian hard rock band active from October 1989 to 1996 and reformed in 2007. The original line-up was Frank Celenza on drums; Suze DeMarchi on lead vocals and guitar; Dave Leslie on guitar and backing vocals; and Eddie Parise on bass guitar and backing vocals. They recorded two studio albums, '' Baby Animals'' (September 1991) – which peaked at No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, and '' Shaved and Dangerous'' (August 1993) – which reached No. 2. At the ARIA Music Awards of 1992 the group won three trophies: Album of the Year and Breakthrough Artist – Album for ''Baby Animals'' and Breakthrough - Single for "Early Warning". Babe Ruth (band)
Babe Ruth are an English rock band from Hatfield, Hertfordshire, England. They were active in the 1970s and then reformed in 2002. History In 1971 after graduating from Royal Academy of Music, Alan Shacklock formed "Shacklock" with David Hewitt on bass, Dave Punshon on piano, Dick Powell on drums, and Jenny Haan as vocalist. Roger Dean (artist) later introduced Shacklock to Nick Mobbs, vice president of A&R to the EMI Harvest Records, who got them a show at Marquee Club before signing the band on to the EMI Harvest label. In 1972, Shacklock was renamed after Babe Ruth, the baseball player. In 1972, Rupert Perry signed Babe Ruth for the United States, and their first album, ''First Base'', was released. Avenged Sevenfold (abbreviated as A7X) is an American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band from Huntington Beach, California, formed in 1999. The band's current lineup consists of vocalist M. Shadows, rhythm guitarist Zacky Vengeance, lead guitarist Synyster Gates, bassist Johnny Christ, and drummer Brooks Wackerman. Avenged Sevenfold are known for their diverse rock sound and dramatic imagery in album covers and merchandise. Attila (rock Band)
Attila was an American rock duo from New York City, most notable for having featured a young Billy Joel. History Billy Joel and Jon Small broke away from their band the Hassles and formed Attila in 1969. The instrumentation was organ and drums, with Joel also handling the bass lines with a keyboard, similar to the Doors' Ray Manzarek. Their creative partnership ended in 1970 when Joel ran off with Small's wife, Elizabeth, whom he later married, although this did not end their collaborations, as Small produced Joel's 1987 '' Концерт'' video and the 2011 '' Live at Shea Stadium'' performance. Atomsko Sklonište (transl. ''Fallout shelter, Atomic Shelter'') is a Croatian and SFR Yugoslavia, Yugoslav hard rock band, formed in Pula in 1977. Known for their early anti-war concept, as well as their later hit songs, Atomsko Sklonište were one of the most prominent acts of the Yugoslav rock scene. The formation of the band was initiated by poet Boško Obradović, who aspired to form a band which would perform songs featuring his lyrics. The band gained the attention of the public and the media with their hard rock sound combined with Obradović's anti-war lyrics and cataclysmic imagery. Their first two studio albums, ''Ne cvikaj generacijo'' and ''Infarkt'', both released in 1978, brought them nationwide popularity, although Obradović's lyrics were often described by Yugoslav music critics as unrefined.
