There are 100 members of the Senate of Poland that were elected in the 2023 Polish parliamentary election. They were all elected in 100 single-member constituencies. The Senate Pact 2023 alliance won 66 out of 100 seats. They sit as part of the upper house of the 10th term Sejm and 11th term Senate of Poland. Senate Of Poland
The Senate () is the upper house of the Parliament of Poland, Polish parliament, the lower house being the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, Sejm. The history of the Polish Senate stretches back over 500 years; it was one of the first constituent bodies of a bicameral parliament in Europe and existed without hiatus until the final Partitions of Poland, partition of the Polish state in 1795. The contemporary Senate is composed of 100 senators elected by a universal ballot and is headed by the Marshal of the Senate (''Marszałek Senatu''). The incumbent Marshal of the Senate is Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska. Following a brief period of existence under the Second Polish Republic, the Senate was again abolished by the authorities of the Polish People's Republic. Centre For Poland
The Centre for Poland () is a Polish conservative political party. It was formed on 2 May 2022 by the former Civic Platform MPs and the local government activists affiliated with the Polish Coalition. The goal of the group is to unify the conservative wing of the Coalition and to attract young conservative voters. The National Electoral Commission (, PKW) is the only permanent election commission in Poland. The second permanent electoral organs are ''komisarze wyborczy'' (single ''komisarz wyborczy'', election commissioner), which number is 51. Anna Górska (née Lemańska; born 17 July 1980) is a Polish political activist, political scientist, journalist and politician. She is a senator of the 11th term. Early life and career Górska was born as Anna Lemańska on 17 July 1980 in Elbląg, the daughter of Wiesław Lemański and Urszula Lemańska. In the 1998 local elections, Górska unsuccessfully ran for councilor of the Gmina Papowo Biskupie on behalf of the Młodość election committee. She graduated from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń with a degree in international relations. She worked as a journalist and clerk, as well as in advertising agencies.
