ŠK Slovan Bratislava
ŠK Slovan Bratislava (, "Bratislava Slavs") is a professional association football, football club based in Bratislava, Slovakia, that plays in the Slovak First Football League. Founded as I. ČSŠK Bratislava in 1919, the club changed its name to Slovan Bratislava in 1953. Slovan is the most successful team in Slovakia with the most titles in both league and cup in the country. Slovan Bratislava became the first and so far only club in Slovakia as well as former Czechoslovakia to win one of the European cup competitions, the 1968–69 European Cup Winners' Cup, Cup Winners' Cup when they defeated FC Barcelona in the final in Basel in 1969. Michal Benedikovič
Michal Benedikovič (31 May 1923 – 18 April 2007) was a Slovak football player. He played for Czechoslovakia, for which he played 7 matches. He was part of the Czechoslovakia squad at the 1954 FIFA World Cup but did not play in the tournament. Benedikovič played club football for Spartak Trnava and Slovan Bratislava, with whom he won two Czechoslovak First League titles in 1951 and 1955. Ivan Chodák
Ivan Chodák (3 February 1914 in Dolný Kubín – 14 February 1994 in Bratislava) was a Slovak footballer, coach, and doctor of medicine. He studied at the Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University in Bratislava, earning his doctorate in 1938. In Bratislava, he became a well-known doctor specializing in otorhinolaryngology. He began his football in early 1935, where he temporarily played for FC Vrútky and played for VS Bratislava in the autumn. Chodák played his first league match in club colors of 1. Giorgi Chakvetadze () ( ka, გიორგი ჩაკვეტაძე; born 29 August 1999) is a Georgian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or left winger for club Watford, and the Georgia national team. Chakvetadze has earned the Footballer of the Year award in Georgia. He has also won the Slovak First League with Slovan Bratislava. Jozef Čapkovič (born 11 January 1948 in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia) is a former Slovak football player. He played for Czechoslovakia, making 16 appearances for the national side. He was a participant at the 1976 UEFA European Championship, where Czechoslovakia won the gold medal. Ján Čapkovič
Ján Čapkovič (born 11 January 1948) is a former Slovak football player. The scorer of 100 goals in the Czechoslovak First League, he also scored the winning goal for Slovan Bratislava in the 1969 European Cup Winners' Cup final. Internationally he played for Czechoslovakia, scoring 6 times in 20 appearances and taking part in the 1970 FIFA World Cup. Štefan Čambal
Štefan Čambal (17 December 1908 – 18 July 1990) was a Slovak football player and later a football manager. He played for Czechoslovakia, for which he played 22 matches. He was born in Pozsony and died in Prague. He was a participant in the 1934 FIFA World Cup, where Czechoslovakia won the silver medal. At the tournament, Čambal became the first player of Slovak origin at a World Cup. In his country he started his career with 1. ČsŠK Bratislava, winning the 1927 amateur title in Czechoslovakia. Titus Buberník
Titus Buberník (12 October 1933 – 27 March 2022) was a Slovak footballer who played as a midfielder. He played for the Czechoslovakia national team in 23 matches scoring five goals. Buberník was born in Bratislava and grew up in Pusté Úľany. He participated in the 1958 FIFA World Cup and 1962 FIFA World Cup tournaments, the latter of where Czechoslovakia won the silver medal, but he did not play in the tournament. At club level, Buberník played for VSS Košice in 1956 before moving to CH Bratislava, where he stayed for 12 years – winning the 1958–59 Czechoslovak First League during this time. Michal Breznaník
Michal Breznaník (born 16 December 1985) is a Slovak football midfielder who plays for TJ Baník Kalinovo. Club career Breznaník started his career playing in the youth teams of hometown club MFK Revúca, later FC Junior - Radvaň and was then transferred to ŽP Šport Podbrezová. In 2007, he joined Slovak side Slovan Bratislava. For the 2010–11 season, Slovan Bratislava loaned Breznaník to Slovan Liberec. After the season, Breznaník moved to Slovan Liberec permanently. On 6 September 2012, Breznaník signed three-year contract with Russian side Amkar Perm. Mario Božić ( sr-Cyrl, Марио Божић, ; 25 May 1983 – 3 April 2023) was a Bosnian Serb professional footballer who played as a central midfielder. At international level, Božić made two appearances for Bosnia and Herzegovina between 2007 and 2008. Vasil Georgiev Bozhikov (; born 2 June 1988) is a Bulgarian retired professional footballer who captained his latest club - Fortuna Liga club Slovan Bratislava and played for the Bulgarian national team. He usually played as a centre back.
