Eka Alenka Vogelnik (5 July 1946 – 6 November 2024) was a Slovene illustrator, costume, scenography, and puppet designer, puppeteer, director and university teacher. Career Eka Vogelnik graduated in architecture and painting, and worked primarily as an illustrator, set and costume designer, as well as in puppet making and puppeteering. She illustrated over 30 books, was the artistic designer for more than 30 theatre productions, author of 7 puppet shows and numerous film and TV productions. In the later years of her career, she was involved mainly in developing different types of puppets and teaching puppetry. Marlenka Stupica
Marlenka Stupica (; 17 December 1927 – 17 June 2022) was a Slovene children's book illustrator. She illustrated over one hundred books for children and is considered one of the top Slovene illustrators. Life and work Stupica was born as Marlenka Muck in Maribor, Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes on 17 December 1927. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, People's Republic of Slovenia, Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia, where she graduated in 1950. At that time, she also travelled to numerous European countries. She already illustrated as a student. Marija Lucija Stupica (13 December 1950 – 28 May 2002) was a Slovene children's book illustrator. Stupica was born in Ljubljana in 1950. She was the daughter of the acclaimed Slovene illustrator Marlenka Stupica and famous painter Gabrijel Stupica. Her father often used her as a model for his paintings. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana. She won the Prešeren Foundation Award in 1989 for her achievements in children's book illustration. She also won the Levstik Award for her illustrations three times, in 1973, 1983 and 1985. Lilijana Praprotnik Zupančič (born 28 September 1955), known by the pen name Lila Prap, is a Slovene illustrator and writer. She is best known for her humorous children's picture books, published both in her native Slovenia and abroad. Life and work Lila Prap was born in Celje in 1955. Marjetica Potrč (; born 1953) is an artist and architect based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Potrč's interdisciplinary practice includes on-site projects, research, architectural case studies, and drawings (visual essays and diagrams).
