Lakeshore is a municipality on Lake Saint Clair (North America), Lake St. Clair, in Essex County, Ontario, Essex County, Ontario, Canada. It was incorporated in 1999 by amalgamating the Town of Belle River with the township (Canada), townships of Maidstone, Rochester, Tilbury North, and Tilbury West. The road network in Windsor, Ontario is a grid system with elongated blocks, generally aligned with the Detroit River, with East-West roads running parallel to it, and North-South streets running perpendicular (90 Degrees) to it. This is an adoption from when French Canadian settlers first built farms and streets in the area. Many streets have French names in result, such as Lauzon Parkway, Marentette Avenue (a quiet residential street), Ouellette Avenue (considered by many Windsorites to be its " Main Street"), and Pelissier Street. Wheatley, Ontario
Wheatley is a community in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, within the municipality of Chatham-Kent. It lies about east of Leamington. Nearby parks include Two Creeks Conservation Area, which has 15 km of hiking and bicycling paths, Kopegaron Woods Conservation Area, Hillman Marsh Conservation Area and Point Pelee National Park. Rondeau Provincial Park is only a forty-five-minute drive to the east. It also boasts Wheatley Provincial Park, home to the endangered Blue Racer snake, which can only be found in the park as well as the Point Pelee National Park and on Pelee Island. Tilbury (2016 population 4,768) is a community within the municipality of Chatham-Kent, Ontario, Canada. It is located southwest of Chatham-Kent and east of Windsor on Highway 401. History The nearby townships of Tilbury West and Tilbury East were named for the port of Tilbury in the English county of Essex. A settlement, called Henderson (after the local postmaster), was established with the construction of the Canada Southern Railway in 1875. The name of the post office was changed to Tilbury Centre after the adjoining townships and the community was incorporated as a village in 1887. The name changed again to Tilbury a few years later, in 1895, and incorporated as a town in 1910. Tilbury is also home to the largest antique mall in its part of Southern Ontario. Essex is a town with a population of 21,216 in Essex County in southwestern Ontario, Canada, whose municipal borders extend to Lake Erie.
