Khazar Lankaran
Khazar Lankaran FK () was an Azerbaijani football club based in Lankaran that last played in the Azerbaijan Premier League during the 2015–16 season. Since the summer of 2016 the club has concentrated on youth football. It played in the Azerbaijan Premier League for twelve-seasons, winning the title once, and the Azerbaijan Cup three times. The Azerbaijan Cup () is a major association football competition in Azerbaijan. In its original form, it started in 1936, when Azerbaijan was a republic of the Soviet Union and it was not disputed by Azerbaijani teams in the Soviet league pyramid. Compared to major football competitions in many other countries, the tournament in Azerbaijan attracts considerably less public interest and even the cup final is rarely sold out. Consequently, the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan has experimented with the format in order to raise the profile of the cup. Stepanakert officially Khankendi is a city in the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. It was the capital city of the breakaway Republic of Artsakh prior to the 2023 Azerbaijani offensive in the region. The city is located in a valley on the eastern slopes of the Karabakh mountain range, on the left bank of the Qarqarçay (Karkar) river. The area that would become Stepanakert was originally an Armenian settlement named Vararakn. Stepanakert Republican Stadium () or Khankendi Stadium () is a stadium in Stepanakert, Nagorno-Karabakh, Azerbaijan. History The stadium was unveiled in 1956 as ''Joseph Stalin Stadium''. After the First Nagorno-Karabakh War, the name was changed to ''Stepan Shahumyan Central Stadium'' by the authorities of the breakaway Republic of Artsakh. The stadium was entirely renovated in 2004–2005 and renamed ''Stepanakert Republican Stadium''. During the renovation, the venue was turned into an all-seater stadium with a capacity of 12,000 spectators. In 2015, the natural grass was replaced with an artificial turf.
