First Professional Football League (Bulgaria)
The First Professional Football League (), commonly known as Parva Liga or Bulgarian First League (currently known as the efbet League for sponsorship reasons), is a professional association football league in Bulgaria and the highest level of the Bulgarian football league system. Contested by 16 teams, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Second Professional Football League. The Bulgarian football championship was inaugurated in 1924 as the '' Bulgarian State Football Championship'' and has been played in a league format since 1948, when the A Group was established. The champions of the First League have the right to participate in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Champions League based on the league's European coefficient. Additionally, two UEFA Europa Conference League spots are allocated to the second team in the final standings and the winner of the European playoffs. Vasil Panayotov
Vasil Panayotov (; born 16 July 1990) is a Bulgarian professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for First League club Cherno More Varna, which he captains, and the Bulgaria national team. Club career Born in Gotse Delchev, Panayotov began his youth career with hometown club Pirin, before moving to join the youth academy of Levski Sofia at age of 17. He played regularly for the under-19s, but never made a first team appearance. Panayotov went on loan to B PFG side Volov Shumen at the start of the 2009–10 season. In June 2010, he moved to Pirin Gotse Delchev. He scored once in 16 appearances, before moving to Bansko in January 2011. Marcos García Barreno (born 21 March 1987), known as Marquitos, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Ibiza Islas Pitiusas as a midfielder. Club career Born in Sant Antoni de Portmany, Ibiza, Balearic Islands, Marquitos was a product of Villarreal CF's youth system, and he made his first-team debut on 24 September 2006 in a 3–2 home win against Real Zaragoza. FC Dunav (, officially named ''"Дунав от Русе"'') is a Bulgarian professional football club based in Ruse, which currently competes in the Second League, the second tier of the Bulgarian football league system. Part of a larger sports branch, Dunav were established on February 16, 1949, as a merger of two local football clubs in the city, Dinamo and Rusenets. OFC Pirin Blagoevgrad
Football club Pirin (), also known as Pirin Blagoevgrad is a Bulgarian football club based in Blagoevgrad, which currently competes in the Second League, the second division of Bulgarian football. The club was founded in 2008, after a merger between two clubs from Blagoevgrad, Pirin 1922 and PFC Pirin Blagoevgrad. By an official court decision later that year, the club was announced as a historical successor of the club records of the former FC Pirin, founded in 1922. In 2011, following the bankruptcy of the entity, which represented the football club, Pirin's football department was merged once again with Perun Kresna, to eventually become OFC Pirin. Blagoy Makendzhiev (; born 11 July 1988) is a Bulgarian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for FC Krumovgrad. Career Makendzhiev began his professional career at Pirin Blagoevgrad. He made his competitive debut on 9 November 2005 in a match against Lokomotiv Sofia. In the next two seasons he played in only 4 games. Pedro Alexandre Mendes Marques (born 31 March 1988), commonly known as Pedrito, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a midfielder.
