The ATP rankings by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) are the merit-based system for determining the rankings in men's tennis. In doubles, the top-ranked team is the pair who, over the previous 52 weeks, has gathered the most ATP rankings points. Points are awarded based on how far a team advances in tournaments and the category of those tournaments. The ATP has used a computerized system for determining doubles rankings since 1976. An updated rankings list is released at the beginning of each week. Marcelo Arévalo González (; born October 17, 1990) is a Salvadoran professional tennis player. He is the current world No. 1 in doubles by the ATP, achieved on 11 November 2024 and has a career-high singles ranking of No. 139, attained in April 2018, making him the highest-ranked player, male or female, across both disciplines in Salvadoran tennis history. Wesley Koolhof (; born 17 April 1989) is a Dutch former professional tennis player who was ranked World No. 1 in doubles. He is a two-time Grand Slam champion, having won the 2023 Wimbledon Championships in men's doubles with Neal Skupski and the 2022 French Open in mixed doubles with Ena Shibahara. Tomáš Šmíd (born 20 May 1956) is a former tennis player from Czechoslovakia, who won nine singles titles during his career. In doubles, he won 54 titles and was world No. 1 in doubles from December 17, 1984, to August 11, 1985. The right-hander reached his highest ATP singles ranking of world No. 11 in July 1984. Šmíd participated in 31 Davis Cup ties for Czechoslovakia from 1977 to 1989, posting a 20–10 record in doubles and a 22–15 record in singles.
