Lise Simms
Elisabeth Caroline "Lise" Simms (born March 17, 1963) is an American actress, singer, designer and dancer. Career Broadway and theater Simms began her acting career at age 13. After graduating from high school, she started acting on Broadway in numerous plays, including '' Other People's Money'', ''Mame'', '' Can-Can'', '' Sweet Charity'' and '' Bye Bye Birdie'' during the 1980s. She was a member of the original Los Angeles, California cast of ''Beauty and the Beast'' and toured around the world with ''A Chorus Line'' in 1986. Television Simms was the host of Style Network's ''Area''. She had a recurring role on '' Sunset Beach'', but is best known for her role as "Barbara Diffy", Phil's mom in the Disney Channel original series ''Phil of the Future'', where she also played "The Timekeeper" in the episode "It's a Wonder-Phil Life". Style Network
Esquire Network was an American pay television network that was a 50/50 joint venture between NBCUniversal and the Hearst Corporation. Launched on October 1, 1998 as Style Network, a spin-off of E!, the channel initially consisted of fashion, design, and urban lifestyle-themed programming. In 2008, Style shifted its programming towards personality-centric reality shows. The network was relaunched as Esquire Network on September 23, 2013; the rebrand was supposed to take place on G4, but was instead moved to Style due to G4's low ratings. As Esquire Network, the channel focused on travel, cooking, sports and fashion, and also aired reruns of sitcoms and dramas. Due to low ratings and subsequent carriage decline by cable providers, Esquire Network closed as a cable channel on June 28, 2017, and was stated to become an online-only brand; although no further comments have been made about the proposed online-only model since. ''Great Performances'' is a television anthology series dedicated to the performing arts; the banner has been used to televise plays, musicals, opera, ballet, concerts, as well as occasional documentaries. It is produced by the PBS member station WNET in New York City (originally in conjunction with KQED (TV), KQED/San Francisco, WTTW/Chicago, Maryland Public Television, South Carolina ETV and KERA-TV/Dallas/Fort Worth).
