Lippo Centre (), previously known as the Bond Centre (), is a twin tower skyscraper complex completed in 1988 at 89 Queensway, in Admiralty on Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong near Admiralty station. Tower I is with 46 storeys, and Tower II is with 42 storeys. History The Lippo Centre is a landmark development located in the heart of Admiralty comprising approximately in two office towers with a retail podium element situated on the ground floors and a small basement car park. Queensway (Hong Kong)
Queensway () is a major road in the Admiralty, Hong Kong, Admiralty area of Central, Hong Kong, Central, Hong Kong. It was originally a section of Queen's Road East and forms part of the continuum of Queen's Road, Hong Kong, Queen's Road that had been split into Queen's Road West, Queen's Road Central, Queensway, and Queen's Road East after World War II. At its western end it splits into Queen's Road Central and Des Voeux Road Central while at its eastern end it merges into Hennessy Road, at the junction with Queen's Road East. Name Queensway was formally separated and given its own name when the extensive military and naval sites that dominated this area were redeveloped around the 1960s. Its Chinese language, Chinese name can be translated as ''Golden Bell Road'', a reference to a notable bell once located in the adjacent Admiralty Dock, and does not include 'Queen'. Alan John Scarfe (8 June 1946 – 28 April 2024) was a British–Canadian actor, stage director and author. He was an Associate Director of the Stratford Festival (1976–77) and the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool (1967–68).
