Linus (other)
Linus, a male given name, is the Latin form of the Greek name ''Linos''. It is a common given name in Sweden. The origin of the name is unknown although the name appears in antiquity both as a musician who taught Apollo and as a son of Apollo who died in infancy. Linus Hallenius (born 1 April 1989) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a striker for Kubikenborg. Career Born in Sundsvall, Hallenius started his professional career with GIF Sundsvall, and is widely regarded as one of their greatest players of all time. During the transfer period on the summer of 2009 there were rumors that Hallenius was close to sign for Örgryte IS and several news papers went out with the news that Örgryte IS had signed him, which was denied by the club. Although the fact was that the club had made an agreement with GIF Sundsvall, but Hallenius hesitated about the transfer. On 7 July 2009, Hallenius signed a 3.5-year contract with Hammarby IF in the Allsvenskan. Lars Linus Persson (born December 29, 1985) is a Swedish professional ice hockey right winger, currently playing for Leksands IF in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Persson won TV-pucken with Värmland in 2000, won four Swedish Junior Championships with Västra Frölunda HC in 2002 and 2003 (under-20 and under-18), won promotion to Elitserien with Rögle BK in the 2008 Kvalserien, and won the 2012 European Trophy with Luleå HF. Linus Carl Pauling ( ; February 28, 1901August 19, 1994) was an American chemist and peace activist. He published more than 1,200 papers and books, of which about 850 dealt with scientific topics. Linus Karl Heimer Omark (born 5 February 1987) is a Swedes, Swedish professional ice hockey Winger (ice hockey), left winger currently with Luleå Hockey of the Swedish Hockey League, SHL. Linus Malmqvist (born September 9, 1981), is a former Swedish football player, who played ten seasons for Landskrona BoIS and three seasons for Trelleborgs FF between the years 2001 and 2013.
