Line 17 (São Paulo Metro)
Line 17 (Gold) ( pt, Linha 17–Ouro) is an under construction monorail project for the São Paulo Metro. The line will have 14 stations, beginning at the São Paulo-Morumbi station and ending at the Jabaquara station, with a branch to Congonhas station, connected to the São Paulo/Congonhas Airport. It will have integration with Line 1-Blue, Line 4-Yellow, and Line 5-Lilac as well as CPTM Line 9-Emerald. The line was originally one of the transportation projects supporting the 2014 FIFA World Cup. However, delays and contract disputes have pushed the completion date from the original 2013 full opening date to 2024. Once completed, the line will be the first in the system to have a branch. The line was originally envisioned to be long and will be opened in three stages. Monorail
A monorail (from " mono", meaning "one", and " rail") is a railway in which the track consists of a single rail or a beam. Colloquially, the term "monorail" is often used to describe any form of elevated rail or people mover. More accurately, the term refers to the style of track.The term "track" is used here for simplicity. Technically the monorail sits on or is suspended from a guideway containing a singular structure. Morumbi (CPTM)
Morumbi is a train station on ViaMobilidade Line 9-Emerald, located in the limits of district of Santo Amaro. It will be connected to ViaMobilidade Line 17-Gold, scheduled to 2nd semester of 2022. History Morumbi station was built and opened by Estrada de Ferro Sorocabana (along with Jurubatuba branch), on January 25, 1957, and demolished in the 1970s by FEPASA during the remodeling of commuter trains. Because of the lack of funds, its reconstruction project was paralyzed during all the 1980s, being reestablished only in 1994, when the architectural project was hired from architect Luiz Carlos Esteves. In 1992, CPTM launched the project South Dinamization, which wanted to conclude the construction of the remaining stations of the line. Line 5 (São Paulo Metro)
Line 5 (Lilac) ( pt, Linha 5–Lilás) is one of the six lines that make up the São Paulo Metro and one of the 13 lines that make up the Metropolitan Rail Transportation Network. The line transports about 600,000 people every business day, and since August 2018 it is operated by the private company ViaMobilidade. The southern section of the line, between Largo Treze and Capão Redondo was completed in 2002 and was envisioned as a railway line of the CPTM called Line G. The project was transferred to the São Paulo Metro and renamed to Line 5 - Lilac. A northern extension connecting it with the rest of the São Paulo Metro network started construction 2009 with a completion deadline of 2013. Line 4 (Yellow) ( pt, Linha 4–Amarela) is one of the six lines that make up the São Paulo Metro and one of the thirteen lines that make up the São Paulo Metropolitan Rail Transportation Network. It was the first line built for the São Paulo Metro and also the first metro line built in Brazil. It links Tucuruvi Station to Jabaquara Station. Construction began in the late 1960s and was completed in the early 1970s. History Originally called North-South Line, line 1 began construction on December 14, 1968. Commercial operation began September 14, 1974, with trains running in the first seven kilometers between Jabaquara and Vila Mariana stations.
