Lindomar Garçon
Lindomar Barbosa Alves (born 18 October 1969) better known as Lindomar Garçon is a Brazilian politician and pastor. Although born in Mato Grosso, he has spent his political career representing Rondônia, having served as state representative from 2007 to 2019. Personal life Lindomar was born to Adão José Alves and Alcemira de Souza Barbosa Alves. In his early political career shortly before being elected mayor he adopted "Garçon" (meaning waiter) to his name as he has worked as a waiter in his youth. He is a pastor and elder in the Assembleias de Deus church. Political career Lindomar voted in favor of the impeachment of then-president Dilma Rousseff. He voted in favor of the 2017 Brazilian labor reform, and would vote against a corruption investigation into Rousseff's successor Michel Temer. The Chamber of Deputies () is a federal legislative body and the lower house of the National Congress of Brazil. The chamber comprises 513 deputies, who are elected by proportional representation to serve four-year terms. The current president of the chamber is the Deputy Hugo Motta ( Republicanos- PB), who was elected on 1 February 2025. Structure The number of deputies elected is proportional to the size of the population of the respective state (or of the Federal District) as of 1994. However, no delegation can be made up of less than eight or more than seventy seats. Thus the least populous state elects eight federal deputies and the most populous elects seventy. These restrictions favour the smaller states at the expense of the more populous states and so the size of the delegations is not exactly proportional to population. Michel Miguel Elias Temer Lulia (; born 23 September 1940) is a Brazilian politician, lawyer and writer who served as the 37th president of Brazil from 31 August 2016 to 1 January 2019. He took office after the Impeachment of Dilma Rousseff, impeachment and removal from office of his predecessor Dilma Rousseff. He had been the 24th Vice President of Brazil, vice president since 2011 and acting president since 12 May 2016, when Rousseff's powers and duties were suspended pending an impeachment trial.
