Lincoln County is a county located in the U.S. state of Nebraska. As of the 2020 census, the population was 34,676. Its county seat is North Platte. Despite the county's name, the state capital city of Lincoln is not in or near Lincoln County. Lincoln County is one of the three counties in the North Platte Micropolitan Statistical Area. In the Nebraska license plate system, Lincoln County is represented by the prefix 15 (it had the fifteenth-largest number of vehicles registered for a state county when the license plate system was established in 1922). Geography Lincoln County is located in the Nebraska Sandhills, a region of mixed-grass prairie on grass-stabilized dunes. The land is generally given to agriculture, with considerable center pivot irrigation and cattle ranching. McPherson County, Nebraska
McPherson County is a county in the U.S. state of Nebraska. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 399, making it the least populous county in the state of Nebraska and the fifth-least populous county in the United States. Its county seat is Tryon. The county was formed in 1890 from Logan County; it was named for American Civil War General James B. McPherson. In 1913, a portion of McPherson County was partitioned off to create Arthur County, giving McPherson County its present boundaries. Burlington Trailways is an intercity bus company based in West Burlington, Iowa. History Burlington Trailways was founded in 1929 as the Burlington Transportation Company, a subsidiary of the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad. Nebraska Highway 97 is a highway in western Nebraska. It has a southern terminus north of North Platte at an intersection with U.S. Highway 83. The northern terminus is at U.S. Highway 20 in Valentine. Route description Nebraska Highway 97 begins to the north of North Platte branching off US 83. It heads to the northwest through prairies where it meets NE 92 east of Tryon. The highway runs concurrently with NE 92 to the west through Tryon, before splitting off and continuing northward.
