Liguilla De Ascenso A Segunda División (Perú)
The Liguilla de Ascenso a Segunda División was a championship of yesteryear that existed in Peru where the champion was promoted to play in the Segunda División the following year (except in its last edition where it was promoted to the Primera División). It began to be played in 1954 with the champions of the Ligas Provinciales de Lima y Callao. In the following years, the champion of the Liga de los Balnearios del Sur, the Liga Distrital de San Isidro and, in its latest editions, other districts of Lima joined. It was played until 1973 and after the inclusion of the teams from the province of Lima in the Copa Perú it was replaced by Liga Provincial de Lima (Interligas de Lima). CONMEBOL
CONMEBOL ( ) or CSF (; ; ), is the continental governing body of football in South America and it is one of FIFA's six continental confederations. The oldest continental confederation in the world, its headquarters are located in Luque, Paraguay. CONMEBOL is responsible for the organization and governance of South American football's major international tournaments. With 10 member football associations, it has the fewest members of all the confederations in FIFA. Telmo Carbajo was a Peruvian football club, playing in the city of Callao, Lima, Peru. History The C.A. Telmo Carbajo was founded on November 16, 1926. The Club Atlético Telmo Carbajo participated in the Peruvian Segunda División and was the champion in the 1943 season The club participated in the 1937 Peruvian Primera División, but was relegated in the same year. The club has played at the highest level of Peruvian football on two more occasions, from 1941 until 1942, when it was relegated. The club participated in the Liga Provincial del Callao in its different categories until its disappearance in 1976. However, after 40 years of inactivity, the club participates in the 2017 Liga Distrital del Callao. The Región IX Metropolitana, was a football (soccer) tournament founded in 1975. It was created as the last stage after the Liga Mayor de Fútbol de Lima.1 It was a system made up of teams from the Lima capital. History The FPF made changes to Peruvian football competitions in 1973. Among them the elimination of the Peruvian Segunda División. Later, in 1975, the Liga Mayor de Fútbol de Lima and the Región IX Metropolitana were created.
