The Ligue de soccer élite du Québec () was the top amateur league in Quebec, operating at a level below the semi-professional Première ligue de soccer du Québec. It operates a number of youth and gender specific divisions and is operated by the Fédération du Soccer du Québec. In 2025, the league was merged into Ligue1 Québec with teams joining the new Ligue2 and Ligue3 divisions. The senior men's division is composed of a 1st Division and 2nd Division. There is promotion and relegation between division 1 and 2, between division 2 and regional AA leagues. The senior female division consists of a single division. Soccer Québec
Soccer Québec (formerly ( FQS) or the Quebec Soccer Federation (QSF)) is the governing body for soccer in the Canadian province of Quebec. The QSF is one of thirteen provincial and territorial federations members of the Canadian Soccer Association. It is headquartered in Laval. This federation was founded in 1911 and adopted its current name in 2000. On June 10, 2013, the Canadian Soccer Association suspended the Quebec Soccer Federation over its refusal to let turban-wearing children play. Quebec's premier Pauline Marois announced her support of the Quebec Soccer Federation's ban and suggested that the CSA has no authority over provincial organizations. In 2014, the QSF removed the ban after a ruling from FIFA that turbans are allowed for male players. Ligue1 Québec (L1QC) is a Semi-professional sports, semi-professional men's Association football, soccer league in Quebec, Canada. Founded in 2011 as the Première ligue de soccer du Québec, the league is sanctioned by the Canadian Soccer Association and the Quebec Soccer Federation. Promotion and relegation is used by sports leagues as a process where teams can move up and down among divisions in a league system, based on their performance over a season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are sometimes called open leagues. New Hampshire Ramblers were an American soccer club. In 1995, the club was originally called the Montreal Ramblers, but were forced to move by FIFA before playing any games. The National Soccer League was a soccer league in Canada that existed from 1926 to 1997. Teams were primarily based in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec. The league was renamed to Canadian National Soccer League in 1993 following the folding of the Canadian Soccer League, and the accepting of the Winnipeg Fury, making the league more national. Royal-Sélect de Beauport is a Canadian association football, soccer club that plays in the semi-professional Ligue1 Québec. Association de Soccer de Chaudière-Ouest is a Canadian women's semi-professional soccer club based in Lévis, Quebec that plays in the women's division of Ligue1 Québec. Their L1QC team operates under the name Rapides de Chaudière-Ouest. History Established as a youth soccer club, the club was founded in 2002. In December 2020, they were awarded the Canadian Soccer Association national license for their excellence. Celtix du Haut-Richelieu is a Canadian semi-professional soccer club based in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec that plays in Ligue1 Québec in the third tier of Canadian soccer, since 2020.
