Leylah Alliët (born 15 September 1991 in Belgium) is a Belgian beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned as 1st runner up in Miss Belgium 2015 and also crowned Miss World Belgium 2015 and represented her country at the Miss World 2015. Early life Alliët was born and raised in the city of Roeselare in the Flemish province of West Flanders. She holds a degree in marketing and real estate and works as marketing manager for Mercedes-Benz. Roeselare
Roeselare (; ; ) is a Belgian city and municipality in the Flemish province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Roeselare proper and the towns of Beveren, Oekene and Rumbeke. The name of the city is derived from two Germanic words meaning "reed" and "open space", ''i.e.'', a marsh in a forest glade. Miss Belgium is a national beauty pageant in Belgium. The winner of Miss Belgium automatically represents her country at the Miss World and Miss Universe pageants if the dates do not overlap. Miss World 2015 was the 65th edition of the Miss World pageant, held at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, Hainan, China, on 19 December 2015. Rolene Strauss of South Africa crowned Mireia Lalaguna of Spain as her successor at the end of the event. It was the first time in the history of Miss World that Spain won the pageant. De Panne (; ) is a town and a municipality located on the North Sea coast of the Belgian province of West Flanders. There it borders France, making it the westernmost town in Belgium.
