The Lewisburg Historic District is a national historic district that is located in Lewisburg, Union County, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. Campus Theatre
Campus Theatre is an entertainment venue in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. Opened in 1941, and located on Market Street, it is one of the few single-screen Art Deco movie houses in the country still in operation, and forms part of Lewisburg Historic District. It is now owned by Bucknell University and leased to The Campus Theatre Ltd. The theater, designed by David Supowitz, was founded by the Steifel brothers (Oscar, Harold, Moritz (Morris) and Barney), Russian immigrants who ran an empire across New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Its opening night was January 17, 1941, when it showed the Jack Benny and Fred Allen musical comedy ''Love Thy Neighbor''. Morris's son, Harold, took over the management of the theater in 1953, when his uncle, Barney, retired. The Wake are a British post-punk, synth-pop and later indie pop band, formed in Glasgow in 1981 by Gerard "Caesar" McInulty (formerly of Altered Images), Steven Allen (drums) and Joe Donnelly (bass), the latter replaced by Bobby Gillespie. Lewisburg Cemetery
Lewisburg Cemetery is a historic cemetery in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. Located immediately to the north of Bucknell University, and dating to 1848, it is a contributing site of the Lewisburg Historic District. There are around 13,000 burials in the cemetery. The cemetery is bounded by South 7th Street to the east (from which is the only entrance), St. Catharine Street to the north, and South Derr Drive (U.S. Route 15) to the west. (St. Catharine Street is now disjointed, its layout having been altered after the cemetery's expansions. A separate section continues east to South 6th Street at Hufnagle Park.)
