Lennard Kämna (born 9 September 1996) is a German professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Junior cycling At the age of 14, Kämna left his family home in Bremen to attend a sports school in Cottbus. In 2014, he became the junior world champion in the individual time trial at the UCI Road World Championships, having already won the German and European championships at the same level earlier in the year. A year later, he finished third in the under-23 time trial at the World Championships in Richmond. His effort was impeded by strong winds and light rain, a fact that benefited first and second placed Mads Würtz Schmidt and Maximilian Schachmann, who both started earlier in the day. The 2018 Deutschland Tour was a road bicycle racing, road cycling stage race that took place between 23 and 26 August 2018. After a 10 year break, the Deutschland Tour held its 33rd edition and was rated as a 2.1 event as part of the 2018 UCI Europe Tour. 2014 UCI Road World Championships – Men's Junior Time Trial
The UCI Road World Championships – Men's junior time trial, Men's junior time trial of the 2014 UCI Road World Championships took place in and around Ponferrada, Spain on 23 September 2014. The course of the race was with the start and finish in Ponferrada. Lennard Kämna became the first German rider to win the world title since Marcel Kittel in 2006, with a winning margin of almost 45 seconds over his nearest competitor. The silver medal went to American rider Adrien Costa, with the bronze medal going to Australia's Michael Storer; Costa and Storer were the only riders to get within a minute of Kämna's time. Qualification All National Federations were allowed to enter four riders for the race, with a maximum of two riders to start. Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on Road surface, paved roads. 2016 European Road Championships
The 2016 European Road Cycling Championships was the 22nd running of the European Road Cycling Championships, that took place over 14–18 September 2016 in Plumelec, France. The event consisted of a total of 5 road races and 5 time trials, regulated by the Union Européenne de Cyclisme (UEC). The 2016 championships were the first to be run with elite events for riders over 23 years of age, although the women's under-23 events were combined with the women's elite events. The European Road Cycling Championships (Officially:UEC Road European Championships) are the set of European championship events for the various disciplines and distances in road cycling and have been regulated by the European Cycling Union since 1995. The championships are for under-23, junior (since 2005) and Elite riders (since 2016). 2017 UCI Road World Championships – Men's Team Time Trial
The Men's team time trial of the 2017 UCI Road World Championships was a cycling event that took place on 17 September 2017 in Bergen, Norway. It was the 33rd edition of the championship, and the 6th since its reintroduction for trade teams in 2012. Belgian team were the defending champions, having won in 2016. 17 teams and 102 riders entered the competition. After the women's Sunweb team won their team time trial earlier in the day, the men repeated the feat, with the German-registered outfit finishing 8.29 seconds clear of the from the United States.
