''Lene Marie'' was a ketch-rigged tall ship, of overall and 200 tons displacement. She was built in Denmark in 1910 as a Baltic trader just before World War I. During the Second World War the ''Lene Marie'' sank in the Baltic Sea during a storm. She was raised by the Americans as part of their efforts to rebuild Denmark after the war. When it was no longer economical to continue using the ''Lene Marie'' as a commercial vessel she was converted into a private yacht. Her hold was turned into a saloon and cabins were added. The fo'c'sle, containing the crew quarters, remained almost unchanged during the conversion. Several crew members reported encountering a ghost in the fo'c'sle at night. According to legend this was the ghost of a sailor who drowned in his bunk when the ship sank in World War II. Lene Thiesen (born 1947 in Copenhagen) is the former director of the Copenhagen International Theatre (). Aqua is a Danish-Norwegian eurodance band, best known for their 1997 single " Barbie Girl". The group formed in 1995 in Copenhagen and achieved international success around the globe in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The band released three albums: '' Aquarium'' in 1997, '' Aquarius'' in 2000 and '' Megalomania'' in 2011. The group sold an estimated 33 million albums and singles, making them the most profitable Danish band ever. The group managed to top the UK Singles Chart with three of their singles. The group also caused controversy with the double entendres in their " Barbie Girl" single, with Mattel filing a lawsuit against the group. Lili-Marlene Premilovich (born March 30, 1949), known professionally as Lene Lovich ( ), is an American-British singer. She first gained attention in 1979 with the release of her hit single "Lucky Number", which peaked at number 3 on the UK Singles Chart and made her a leading figure of the new wave music scene. She is equally notable for her eccentric hairstyle, clothing and quirky sense of humor while performing.
