Lempi Ikävalko
Lempi Ikävalko (9 May 1901 in Ruskeala, Finland – 1994 in Helsinki) was a Finnish writer, poet, actress and performance artist. She spent much of her adult life as a journalist in the United States but she strongly identified with her roots in Karelia—in Finnish, ''Karjala'', the region considered the cradle of Finnish mythology because the Kalevala, the national epic poem, came from there. (Note: since World War II Karelia has been divided between Finland and Russia.) In the 1940s two books of Lempi Ikävalko's poetry were published in Finland, and she gave recitals at the Finnish National Theatre and other venues - a long way to come for a peasant girl from the most modest of circumstances in an obscure country village. Penedo
Penedo is a municipality in the state of Alagoas in Brazil. The population is 63,846 (2020 est.) in an area of . Penedo lies south-west of the state capital of Maceió. In October 2023, Penedo joined the UNESCO Creative Cities Network and was named a UNESCO City of Film. History Founded in 1614, Penedo has many important examples of Portuguese and Dutch colonial architectures. The history of Penedo can be found in Francisco Alberto Sales's book ''Arruando para o Forte''. It was reached by sea from the wide estuary of the São Francisco River. The unclassified extinct Wakoná language was formerly spoken in Penedo. Käpylä
Käpylä (; ) is a neighbourhood of Helsinki with 7,600 inhabitants. Administratively speaking, Käpylä is a part of the Vanhakaupunki district. It is located between Kumpula, Oulunkylä and Koskela. Käpylä has a terminus for route-1 of the Helsinki tram network. Additionally, the Olympic Village built for the 1952 Summer Olympics and another village for the cancelled 1940 Summer Olympics are located in Käpylä. The Park Hotel, located in Käpylä, became known for being the shooting location of the popular Finnish satirical TV series '' Hyvät herrat''.
