Lego Creator (video Game)
''Lego Creator'' is a sandbox game for Microsoft Windows, which involves building with virtual reality, virtual Lego elements. The game has no missions, objectives, challenges, or money constraints. The game was released on 11 November 1998. Gameplay ''Lego Creator'' was initially conceived of as an "evergreen" replication of the physical toy. Starting with the "Town" range, the game would expand at each release with the addition of further product themes. Functionality would also be enhanced with each content pack. Ultimately, individual ranges remained independent, and emphasis shifted to a play experience, with reduced emphasis on freeform construction. Originally, it had been hoped that sheer scale of unlimited bricks might offset the loss of tactile merit, but such hope was compromised by the computers of the day. Plans included being able to build content, which could be seamlessly dropped into separate Lego video games. This was dropped as the complexity of doing so was ...

Minifigure
A Lego minifigure, often simply referred to as a Lego figure or a minifig, is a small plastic articulated figurine made of special Lego bricks produced by Danish building toy manufacturer The Lego Group. They were first produced in 1978 and have been a success, with over 4 billion produced worldwide as of 2020. Minifigures are usually found within Lego sets, although they are also sold separately as collectables in blind bags (e.g. under the Lego theme of the same name), or can be custom-built in Lego stores and on lego.com. While some are named as specific characters, either licensed from already existing franchises or of Lego's own creation, many are unnamed and are designed simply to fit within a certain theme (such as police officers, astronauts and pirates). They are highly customizable, and parts from different figures can be mixed and matched, resulting in many combinations. There are also other types of figures from Lego sets, such as animals, '' Duplo'' figures or ...

Qube Software
Qube Software is a British company specialising in advanced 3D technology. It was founded in 1998 by Servan Keondjian, Hugh Steers, and Doug Rabson who created the Reality Lab renderer and who subsequently played a leading role at Microsoft turning it into Direct3D. Qube Software has produced games, however, its main focus has been the development of 3D software that would address the key problems with 3D middleware Keondjian says he identified during his years working on Reality Lab and Direct3D. History Rabson and Keondjian met in the late 1980s, as employees of the British video games company Magnetic Scrolls. Along with Rabson and Kate Seekings, Keondjian subsequently co-founded RenderMorphics to allow him to follow his interest in 3D technology, an interest he attributes in part to the ground-breaking Elite series of games published in the mid 1980s. RenderMorphics developed and released Reality Lab, a real-time 3D application programming interface (API) aimed at the PC. I ...
