Penápolis is a Municipalities of Brazil, municipality in the state of São Paulo (state), São Paulo, Brazil. The population is of 63,757 inhabitants (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, IBGE/2020). The city has an area of 710.8 km². Historical formation The region was first populated by the ''Crowned Indians'' (or Kaingang or still Caingangue).
