Le Mans FC
Le Mans Football Club (; commonly referred to as Le Mans FC) is a French professional football club based in Le Mans. The club set to compete in Ligue 2 from 2025–26, the second tier of French football after promotion from Championnat National in 2024–25. The club was founded in 1985 as a result of a merger under the name Le Mans Union Club 72 (abbreviated as MUC 72). In 2010, Le Mans changed its name to Le Mans FC to coincide with the re-modeling of the club, which includes moving into a new stadium, the Stade Marie-Marvingt, which opened in January 2011. The stadium is based in the interior of the Circuit de la Sarthe, a famous circuit in the city. The club were controversially relegated from 2019–20 Ligue 2 when the season was terminated early due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Stade Marie-Marvingt
The Stade Marie-Marvingt (previously MMArena) is a multi-use stadium in Le Mans, France, that opened in January 2011. It is used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and hosted the home matches of Le Mans FC. The stadium has a capacity of 25,064 people. It replaced the Stade Léon-Bollée as the club's stadium. The arena is located inside the Circuit de la Sarthe, home of the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans, and adjacent the first right kink on the Mulsanne Straight. 2010–11 Ligue 2
The 2010–11 Ligue 2 season was the 72nd since its establishment. Caen were the defending champions. The fixtures were announced on 22 May 2010 and the season began on 6 August and ended on 27 May 2011. The winter break would be in effect between 22 December and 14 January 2011. There were three promoted teams from the Championnat National, replacing the three teams that were relegated from Ligue 2 following the 2009–10 season. A total of 20 teams currently competes in the league with three clubs suffering relegation to the third division, the Championnat National. All clubs that secured Ligue 2 status for the season were subject to approval by the DNCG before becoming eligible to participate.The DNCG is responsible for overseeing the legal and financial accounts of professional football clubs in France. Anthony Ribelin
Anthony Ribelin (born 8 April 1996) is a French professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Le Mans. Club career Born in Nîmes, Ribelin played football from the age of five, first with local club GC Gallarguois, and then with Montpellier. From the age of 17 he was playing for the B team in Championnat de France Amateur 2. He signed a professional youth contract at the age of 18, and made his debut for the first team in the Ligue 1 game against Bordeaux on 9 August 2014. In May 2016, after eight Ligue 1 appearances, he signed his first full professional contract with the club. A change of coach led Ribelin to leave Montpellier and sign a three-year deal with Rennes in June 2016. The 2017–18 Championnat National 2 was the 20th season of the fourth tier in the French football league system in its current format. The competition was contested by 64 clubs split geographically across 4 groups of 16 teams each. The teams included amateur clubs (although a few were semi-professional) and the reserve teams of professional clubs. The Championnat National 2, commonly known as National 2 and formerly known as Championnat de France Amateur (CFA), is a Association football, football league competition. The league serves as the fourth tier of French football league system behind Ligue 1, Ligue 2 and Championnat National. Contested by 48 clubs, the Championnat National 2 operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Championnat National and Championnat National 3, the fifth division of French football.
