Lazarus Phenomenon
Lazarus syndrome (the Lazarus heart), also known as autoresuscitation after failed cardiopulmonary resuscitation, is the spontaneous return of a normal cardiac rhythm after failed attempts at cardiopulmonary resuscitation, resuscitation. It is also used to refer to the spontaneous return of cardiac activity after the patient has been pronounced dead. The phenomenon was first described in medical journals in 1982, and has been noted at least 38 times since then. It was named the "Lazarus Phenomenon" by Jack G. Bray in 1993, referring to Lazarus of Bethany who, according to the New Testament, was raised from the dead by Jesus. Occurrences of the syndrome are extremely rare, and the causes are not well understood. Villa de Ramos is a municipality in the Mexican state of San Luis Potosi, Mexico. History The foundation of Villa de Ramos is attributed to Fr. Jeronimo de Pangua. A rich mine was discovered around this place in the year 1608 and the population settled until 1610. In 1612, a church was built but later destroyed due to the discovery of a rich mine. Bellbrook is a city in Greene County, Ohio, United States. The population was 7,317 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area. It sits about southeast of Dayton. History Bellbrook was laid out in 1816. The name Bellbrook is an amalgamation of the name one of the city's founders, Stephen Bell, and Little Sugar Creek. A post office called Bell Brook was established in 1817, and the name was changed to Bellbrook in 1895.
