Lazar Jovanović (; born 13 July 1993) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays as a forward for GOŠK Gabela. Club career Born in Užice, Jovanović went through the youth system at local clubs Jedinstvo and Sloboda, making his senior debut with the latter in March 2012. He subsequently played for Mladost Lučani, before joining Borac Čačak during the 2016 winter transfer window. In the 2016–17 Serbian SuperLiga, Jovanović was the team's top scorer with eight goals from 34 appearances, helping the side narrowly avoid relegation. International career Jovanović made his international debut for Serbia under Slavoljub Muslin, coming on as a late second-half substitute for Srđan Plavšić in a goalless draw against the United States in San Diego on 29 January 2017. Slavoljub Muslin ( sr-Cyrl, Славољуб Муслин, ; born 15 June 1953) is a Serbian football manager and former player. Muslin began his head coaching career in 1988 and has since had stints in France, Morocco, Serbia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Belgium, Cyprus, Belarus, Russia and Saudi Arabia. As a player, he played as a defender for several clubs, the most important being Red Star Belgrade and later Lille. The 2022–23 Serbian SuperLiga (known as the Mozzart Bet SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons) was the 17th season of the Serbian SuperLiga, Serbia's top football league. Red Star were the defending champions, having won their 8th SuperLiga and 33rd domestic title in the previous season. It began on 8 July 2022. As the 2022 FIFA World Cup started on 21 November, the last round before stoppage was held on 12–13 November. The league resumed games on 3 February 2023.
