''Language and Linguistics'' is a free-access peer-reviewed academic journal of linguistics, publishing research on languages of East Asia and Asia-Pacific, specifically those belonging to the language families of Sino-Tibetan, Austronesian, and Austroasiatic. It is the flagship publication of the Institute of Linguistics at Academia Sinica, which publishes the journal in collaboration with John Benjamins Publishing Company since 2016, after a brief period of partnership with SAGE Publishing from 2014 to 2016. Linguistics is the scientific study of language.
