Lamine Bey
Lamine Bey (), 4 September 1881 – 30 September 1962) was the last Bey of Tunis (15 May 1943 – 20 March 1956), and also the only King of Tunisia (20 March 1956 – 25 July 1957). He was enthroned in unusual circumstances following the removal of his predecessor Moncef Bey by the French Resident General Henri Giraud in 1943. It was not until the latter's death in 1948 that his legitimacy was recognized by the people of Tunisia. He took steps to align himself with the Tunisian national movement against the French protectorate but was sidelined by the Neo Destour after he accepted French-initiated reforms in 1954. Shortly after independence Lamine Bey was turned out of his palace along with his family. Their property was seized and several family members were imprisoned. Lamine Diack (7 June 1933 – 3 December 2021) was a Senegalese businessman, sports administrator, and athlete. He was president of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) from 1999 to 2015. He was the subject of numerous investigations into corruption during his tenure as president. He was also a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) from 1999 to 2013, then an honorary member from 2014 to 2015, and the chairman of the National Water Company "Société Nationale des Eaux" of Senegal (SONES) from 1995 to 2001. He had been under house arrest since November 2015, and his trial in France started in June 2020. Lamine Ba (born 24 August 1997) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for HNL club Varaždin. Born in France, he plays for the Mauritania national team. Lamine Diane (born November 7, 1997) is a Senegalese professional basketball player who plays for the Cape Town Tigers. He played college basketball for the Cal State Northridge Matadors. He was named the Big West Player of the Year in both 2019 and 2020. Lamine Guèye (born 18 July 1960) is a Senegalese skier, and the current president of the Senegalese Ski Federation, which he founded in 1979. He competed at three Winter Olympic Games for Senegal, in 1984, 1992 and 1994. Early life Born in Dakar, Senegal, on 18 July 1960, Lamine Guèye was sent to live in Switzerland in 1968 following the death of his grandfather and namesake, Lamine Guèye, who was leader of the Senegalese Party of Socialist Action and the National Assembly. Lamine Conte (born 15 August 1998) is a Guinean footballer. Career Early career Conte was born in Conakry, Guinea, before moving to the United States. He played with the Philadelphia Union academy between 2014 and 2016, helping the Union to the U.S. Soccer Development U16 Final Four during the 2014–15 season. In 2016, Conte attended the University of Mobile to play college soccer. Here he made 23 stats over two seasons with the Rams. Club career A product of the youth academy of the Oslo FA in Senegal, Diack transferred to the Macedonian club Shkupi on 7 June 2019, signing a two-year contract.
