Lalinde
Lalinde (; ) is a commune in the Dordogne department in Nouvelle-Aquitaine in southwestern France. It lies on the river Dordogne and was enclosed within fortified walls of which little remains today. Lalinde station and Couze station have rail connections to Bordeaux, Bergerac and Sarlat-la-Canéda. History In its past, it was a strategically important military site being the first "English bastide town"; it suffered various sieges during the Hundred Years' War and again in 1562 and 1572 during the Wars of Religion. Linden, North Brabant
Linden is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the former municipality of Cuijk, about 10 km south of Nijmegen. History The village was first mentioned in 1308 as "Kerklienden en Linen". It used to be called "Groot Linden" as to distinguish between Klein Linden. Klein Linden became part of and the name reverted back to Linden. The tower of the St Lambertus Church dates from the 15th century and the church was later added to the tower.
