Lafayette Square, Los Angeles
LaFayette Square is a historic semi-gated neighborhood in the Central Los Angeles, central region of Los Angeles, California. The neighborhood was founded in 1913 by real estate developer George L. Crenshaw, George Lafayette Crenshaw, and named after the French Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette, Marquis de Lafayette, who fought alongside Colonists in the American Revolution. Lying west of Crenshaw Boulevard in the Mid-City, Los Angeles, Mid-City area, it was designated by the city as a Los Angeles Historic Preservation Overlay Zone in 2000 for its significant residential architecture and history. Lafayette Square (Savannah, Georgia)
Lafayette Square is one of the Squares of Savannah, Georgia, 22 squares of Savannah, Georgia, United States. It is located in the fourth row of the city's five rows of squares, on Abercorn Street and East Macon Street, and was laid out in 1837. It is south of Colonial Park Cemetery, west of Troup Square (Savannah, Georgia), Troup Square, north of Taylor Square (Savannah, Georgia), Taylor Square and east of Madison Square (Savannah, Georgia), Madison Square.
