Ladislav Ilčić
Ladislav Ilčić (born on 4 August 1970), is a Croatian politician and former violinist who served as a Member of the European Parliament from 2021 until 2024. Biography Ladislav Ilčić was born in Varaždin on 4 August 1970. His father, Stanko Ilčić, is a doctor and former director of the Varaždin Health Center, also known as the leader of the Varaždin church choir Chorus liturgicus and a longtime associate of the Varaždin diocese. He graduated from the Academy of Music, University of Zagreb, Academy of Music in Zagreb, where he later completed his postgraduate studies, specializing in playing the violin. He joined the permanent ensemble of the symphony orchestra of the state radio and television broadcaster HRT. He was an occasional member of the mariachi band "El Combo". The European Parliament (EP) is one of the two legislative bodies of the European Union and one of its seven institutions. Croatian Democratic Union
The Croatian Democratic Union (, , HDZ) is a major conservative, centre-right political party in Croatia. Since 2016, it has been the ruling political party in Croatia under the incumbent Prime Minister Andrej Plenković. Ruža Tomašić
Ruža Tomašić (; born 10 May 1958) is a Croatian politician who served as a Member of the European Parliament from July 2013 to June 2021, having been elected to the position three times. Upon her withdrawal from the Parliament, she retired from politics altogether. After finishing elementary school at the age of 10, Tomašić moved to Canada where she finished high school and a police college. As a police officer, she worked on the prevention of juvenile delinquency and combatting drug trafficking. After Croatian president Franjo Tuđman invited her to return to Croatia in 1990, Tomašić accepted and started working as a member of Tuđman's personal security. After beating ovarian cancer, she decided to leave police work and engage in politics.
