Gatineau Park () is a federal park located in the Outaouais, Outaouais region of Quebec, Canada. Pontiac, Quebec
Pontiac () is a municipality in the Outaouais Region of western Quebec, Canada, on the north shore of the Ottawa River. It is part of Les Collines-de-l'Outaouais Regional County Municipality, included in the National Capital Region. It should not be confused with Pontiac Regional County Municipality, which is also in the Outaouais but not included in the National Capital Region. It was created by the 1975 amalgamation of the municipalities of North Onslow, South Onslow, Quyon and Eardley, and named after the Odawa war chief Pontiac. Les Collines-de-l'Outaouais (, "The hills of the Outaouais") is a regional county municipality in the Outaouais region of western Quebec, Canada. The region nearly encircles the City of Gatineau, which is to the south. Its administrative seat is in Chelsea, Quebec. It was created in January 1991 when the Communauté régionale de l'Outaouais (Outaouais Regional Community) was split into Les Collines-de-l'Outaouais RCM and the Communauté urbaine de l'Outaouais (Outaouais Urban Community, now City of Gatineau). Wakefield, Quebec
Wakefield is one of many villages of the municipality of La Pêche, Quebec, La Pêche, with the village centre on the western shore of the Gatineau River, at the confluence of the La Pêche River in the Outaouais (region), Outaouais region of the province of Quebec in Canada. It is thirty-five kilometres northwest of Ottawa, Ontario. The village, named after the city of Wakefield in West Yorkshire, England, is now the southern edge of the municipality of La Pêche, and was founded in 1830 by Irish, Scottish, and English immigrants. La Pêche River
The La Pêche River () is a river in western Quebec, in Canada, which drains La Pêche Lake (''Lac La Pêche'') in Gatineau Park and empties into the Gatineau River at Wakefield. Geography The south shore of La Pêche Lake is just north of the Ottawa River. The mouth of the lake is at in direct line from the mouth of the La Pêche river. From its source at La Pêche Lake in the Pontiac municipality, the La Pêche River flows for about to the east, partly in the Gatineau Park, sometimes in woodlands, agricultural or urban. La Pêche Lake receives water discharges of several lakes (to the west and north), including: Martin, Serpent, à Guilbeault, Fisher, Trois Monts, Malverson, du Loup and La Loutre.
