La Crosse Loggers
The La Crosse Loggers are a La Crosse, Wisconsin based baseball team playing in the Northwoods League, a collegiate summer baseball league. Since the team's inaugural season in 2003, they have played at Copeland Park. The ballpark is nicknamed "the Lumberyard." The team is owned by Dan Kapanke, a former Wisconsin state senator. The Loggers are one of 26 teams in the Northwoods League, playing 72 games per season, from late May through mid-August. The Northwoods League is a summer collegiate league that provides an opportunity for college players to spend their summers and display their talents to professional scouts. Players must be enrolled in college and have at least one year of athletic eligibility to participate. Griffin Conine
Griffin Riley Conine (born July 11, 1997) is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Miami Marlins of Major League Baseball (MLB). He is the son of former MLB outfielder Jeff Conine. Amateur career Conine attended Pine Crest High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In his senior season, he recorded a .341 batting average with eight home runs and 27 runs batted in (RBI). He was selected in the 31st round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft by the Miami Marlins, but did not sign, and attended Duke University. Maxwell Martin Scherzer (born July 27, 1984), nicknamed "Mad Max", is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB). Christopher Allen Sale (born March 30, 1989) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox. He throws left-handed and is tall. Timothy Louis Peterson (born February 22, 1991) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Mets. Jordan Patrick Pacheco (born January 30, 1986) is an American former professional baseball infielder and catcher who is a hitting coach for the Colorado Rockies in Major League Baseball (MLB). Andrew David McKirahan (born February 8, 1990) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Atlanta Braves. is an American professional baseball outfielder for the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball (MLB). On the international level, he represents the Japan national baseball team.
