The LU postcode area, also known as the Luton postcode area, is a group of seven postcode districts in England, within three post towns. Streatley, Bedfordshire
Streatley is a village and civil parish in the Central Bedfordshire district of Bedfordshire, England. Geography Streatley is situated just to the west of the A6, and is the first village on the A6 north of Luton, being about north of central Luton. Nearby villages are Lower Sundon, further to the west, Sharpenhoe, 1.5 miles north, and Barton-le-Clay, a somewhat larger village about 1.5 miles north, on the eastern side of the A6. The parish covers the village of Streatley along with Sharpenhoe. In the south of the parish it covers both sides of the A6, bordering Luton to the south and North Hertfordshire district of Hertfordshire to the east. North of the village of Streatley, the parish is entirely to the west of the A6. According to the 2021 census the parish had a population of 1,867. Lower Sundon
Lower Sundon is a hamlet located in the Central Bedfordshire district of Bedfordshire, England. The settlement was established before 1066. The manor of Sundon is listed in the Domesday Book of 1086. The manor was held by the de Clare, Badlesmere and Scrope families until the mid 16th century, when it passed to the Cheyne family. In 1716 it was sold to William Clayton, 1st Baron Sundon. It later passed to the Page-Turner family. The St Mary the Virgin Church was first built in Lower Sundon in the 13th Century. It is a Grade I listed building. The Victorian vicarage is Grade II listed, and features very fine latticed windows. London Luton Airport
London Luton Airport is an international airport located in Luton, England, situated east of the town centre, and is the Airports of London, fourth-busiest airport serving London. The airport is owned by London Luton Airport Limited, a company wholly owned by Luton Borough Council, and operated by London Luton Airport Operations Limited (LLAOL). An airport was opened on the site on 16 July 1938. During the World War II, Second World War, the airport was used by fighters of the Royal Air Force. Commercial activity and general aviation flight training at Luton resumed during 1952. Winch Hill
King's Walden is a civil parish in the English county of Hertfordshire. The parish contains several settlements, with the largest village being Breachwood Green. King's Walden itself is a non-nucleated settlement, with several small clusters of development, notably around the parish church, at Plough Lane (where the village shop and pub are located), and at Ley Green. The parish also includes the hamlets of Darleyhall, Lye Hill, Wandon End, Wandon Green and Winch Hill. At the south of the parish there is Lawrence End Park. The Hyde, Bedfordshire
Hyde (also known as The Hyde) is a civil parish in the county of Bedfordshire. It lies just south-east of Luton. Most of the land to the west of the River Lea is occupied by the Luton Hoo estate, which includes West Hyde. Offley is a civil parish in the North Hertfordshire district of Hertfordshire, England. The main village is Great Offley, also known as Offley, which stands on a ridge of high ground. The parish covers most of the area between the towns of Hitchin to the east and Luton to the west.
