Linzer Athletik-Sport-Klub, commonly known as LASK (), or Linzer ASK, is an Austrian professional Football team, football club based in Upper Austria, Upper-Austrian state capital Linz. It is the oldest football club in that region, and plays in the Austrian Football Bundesliga, the top tier of Austrian football. The club's colours are black and white. The women's team plays in the second highest division of Austrian women's football. It is one of the few clubs of the country's higher divisions that, since coming into existence, never exhibited a sponsor in the official club name. In 1965, the club became the first team outside Vienna to win the Austrian football championship, with this being its only league title to date. Raiffeisen Arena (Linz)
Raiffeisen Arena is a football stadium in Linz, the capital of the Provinces of Austria, state of Upper Austria. It opened in 2023 on the site of the Linzer Stadion, which was built in 1952 and demolished in 2021. The new stadium has a total of 19,080 seats (standing, seated and box seats), with 17,117 seats available for international matches. The cost of the stadium was 65 million euros. With the additional facilities (e.g. offices, training grounds or daytime restaurant), it would be 85 million euros. Due to the increased cost of construction materials, the exact cost will not be known until after completion. Right next to the stadium is the TipsArena Linz multipurpose arena with a six-lane, 200-meter synthetic track and a maximum seating capacity of 8,755. Linzer Stadion
Linzer Stadion was a multi-purpose stadium, in Linz, Austria. Originally built in 1952, the stadium was last modified in 2012 and now has a capacity of 21,005. The 2012 modifications included the installation of rail seats for safe standing. History The stadium was opened on 28 July 1952, on the grounds of the former Froschberg-Brickworks. The stadium is also known as "Auf der Gugl", the name of the hill on which it is situated. The stadium hosted motorcycle speedway until the early 1970s and hosted significant speedway events including a qualifying round of the Speedway World Championship in 1961. It was used for association football matches and hosted most matches of FC Blau-Weiß Linz and the top matches of LASK Linz.
