Kvinesdal Rock Festival
The Norway Rock Festival, formerly known as the Kvinesdal Rock Festival, is a rock music, rock and heavy metal music, metal music festival, festival held annually in Kvinesdal, Norway since 2006. The 2007 edition took place between 12 and 15 July. At the 2008 festival, two people were found dead near to a bus. Initial reports suspect carbon monoxide poisoning as being the cause of death. The 2009 edition took place between 9 and 12 July. The 2010 edition took place between 7 and 11 July. The festival is known for its bright atmosphere and a phenomenal festival camp near the festival area. The Norway Rock Festival is unofficially known as "Norway's response to Woodstock", "Norway's best rock festival" and "the summer's most beautiful festival adventure" by the press and the audience who return year after year to experience the festival's peculiar rock soul where freedom, independence and pure love of proper music permeates every inch of the area. Edguy
Edguy is a heavy metal band formed in Fulda, Germany in 1992. History Demos, AFM years (1992–2003) Edguy was founded in 1992 by 14-year-old students Tobias Sammet, Jens Ludwig, Dominik Storch and Dirk Sauer. The name "Edguy" was an affectionate epithet for their math teacher at the time. In 1994, the band released two demos, ''Evil Minded'' and ''Children of Steel''. These tapes were sent to many record labels, all of whom rejected the band, believing they would be unsuccessful in the music business. Undeterred, they self-released their "unofficial" debut album, '' Savage Poetry'', in 1995. They signed with AFM Records shortly after, who offered to re-release ''Savage Poetry'' with more widespread distribution. Blood Command
Blood Command is a Norwegian punk band from Bergen. The band was formed in 2008 by Yngve Andersen, Silje Tombre and Sigurd Haakaas. The current lineup consists of Andersen, Haakaas, Benjamin Berge, Snorre Kilvær, and Nikki Brumen. The band has been praised for their high-energy live shows and their fresh, vibrant take on rock music, with their albums earning rave reviews from ''Kerrang!'', ''Metal Hammer'', and others. Crucified Barbara
Crucified Barbara were an all-female Swedish hard rock and heavy metal band, formed in Stockholm in 1998. Background Crucified Barbara started out in 1998 as a punk rock band, but soon they changed their primary style to hard rock. They signed in 2003 with GMR Music Group of Stockholm. Recordings took place in Kristianopel, Sweden at Pama Studios/Blakk Records with producer-engineer Mankan Sedenberg during the spring of 2004. Black Ingvars is a Swedish humorist heavy metal group. Black Ingvars is famous for cover versions of songs from other musical styles, like pop, children's song (including " Sjörövar Fabbe" and "Här kommer Pippi Långstrump"), dansband music, Christmas songs and gospel. The Quireboys
The Quireboys are an English rock band formed in 1984 in London, with strong ties to Newcastle. When the band formed they were originally known as The Queerboys and later as the London Quireboys in the United States and Canada, settling at last with their current name. History 1985–89: Formation Vocalist Jonathan Gray (commonly referred to as just 'Spike') moved from Newcastle upon Tyne to London when he was 17 years old. By the mid-1980s, the two decided to form a rock and roll band, the name chosen for the group was originally 'The Choirboys' taken from the 1977 movie of the same name, but they soon changed it to the Queerboys. Mercenary are a Danish melodic death metal band that was formed in 1991. The band incorporates a lot of power and progressive elements in their songwriting. History Mercenary formed in Aalborg, Denmark in 1991 as the brainchild of Henrik "Kral" Andersen. The band name was taken from a lyric in the Slayer song, "Ghosts of War". After the release of two demos, ''Domicile'' (1993) and ''Gummizild'' (1994), they were able to sign with Black Day Records, and released a four-song EP, ''Supremacy'' (1996). Pagan's Mind is a progressive metal band from Skien, Norway. They have released five studio albums, and the current line-up only features original members. Cancer Bats is a Canadian hardcore punk band from Toronto, Ontario. To date, they have released seven studio albums and six extended plays; with their most recent LP, ''Psychic Jailbreak'', having been released on 15 April 2022. Keep of Kalessin is an extreme metal band from Trondheim, Norway formed in 1993. The group's early lineup consisted of Ghash on vocals, Obsidian C. (the group founder) on guitars and keyboards, Warach on bass, and Vyl on drums. They released two albums under this lineup: '' Through Times of War'' in 1997, and '' Agnen: A Journey Through the Dark'' in 1999, before splitting up. Obsidian C. then toured with Satyricon, but revived the Keep of Kalessin name for a 2003 EP, ''Reclaim''.
