Tetsuo Kurata
(born September 11, 1968) is a Japanese television, stage and film actor and restaurateur, best known for portraying Kotaro Minami, the main character in the tokusatsu television series ''Kamen Rider Black'' and its sequel, ''Kamen Rider Black RX''. At the age of 19 he made his acting debut in ''Black'', and has since appeared in many other television series and Japanese doramas. His birth name is . Biography Kurata auditioned for the role of Kotaro Minami in January 1987, when he had just graduated from high school. In a 2006 interview, Kurata had stated that, during the audition, he had not been able to portray the character appropriately, and did not think he would get the role. To his surprise, he was chosen by Shōtarō Ishinomori himself to play the lead role, beating some 8,000 other contestants. The protagonist of the story is Yuichi Aizawa, a seventeen-year-old man who has forgotten much of his past as a child. Kodomo No Omocha
, also known as ''Kodocha'' for short, is a Japanese manga series by Miho Obana. The series was adapted as an OVA by J.C. Staff and released on December 16, 1995 by Shueisha under their Ribon Video label. An anime television series was produced by NAS and TV Tokyo, animated by Studio Gallop, and broadcast on TV Tokyo every Friday from April 5, 1996 to March 27, 1998. In 2002, the manga was published in North America in English by Tokyopop as ''Kodocha: Sana's Stage''. In 2006, Tokyopop lost the license to the manga, leaving it out of print. is a Japanese martial artist and actor, best known for his work in Hong Kong action films. He holds dan ranks in Karate (7th degree), Judo (3rd degree), and Aikido (2nd degree). was a Japanese essayist and playwright on religious subjects who was active during the Taishō and early Shōwa periods of Japan. Biography Kurata was born in what is now rural Shōbara city, Hiroshima Prefecture to a wealthy merchant family.''Meeting the Sensei'', pages 147-163 He graduated from the No.1 High School in Tokyo and made his home in a cottage on the banks of Ueno Pond. is a Japanese international football player currently playing for Gamba Osaka in the J1 League. His regular playing position is an attacking midfielder or a winger. Club career A native of Osaka, Kurata came up through the youth team ranks at Gamba Osaka and made his way into the first-team squad ahead of the 2007 season. Owing to his tender years, he played just 6 league matches in his debut season as a professional, but the following year he went on to make 21 appearances in all competitions as Gamba lifted the 2008 AFC Champions League and the 2008 Emperor's Cup.
