Kristaps Dārgais
Kristaps Dārgais (born 9 August 1990 in Ogre, Latvia) is a Latvian professional basketball player and a professional dunker. He is currently playing for BK Ogre at both forward positions. He has been a professional dunker and part of dunker program Dunk Elite. Dargais is a five time Latvian Basketball League All Star game participant. He's a six time LBL All Star Game Slam Dunk contest winner, FIBA 3x3 Slam Dunk kontest winner in 2013 and multiple time winner of various slam dunk contests around the world. Dargais has been a multiple contestant and a winner of one of the greatest slam dunk contests in a world Kings of Air. 2021–22 Latvian–Estonian Basketball League
The 2021–22 Latvian–Estonian Basketball League, known as Paf Latvian–Estonian Basketball League for sponsorship reasons, was the 4th season of the Latvian–Estonian Basketball League, the combined top basketball division of Latvia and Estonia. The season began on 1 October 2021. Regular season ended on 26 March 2022. The play-off quarterfinal series were being played after the regular season but the champion was crowned in a Final Four tournament. Competition format The regular season includes two rounds, followed by the quarter-finals and Final 4. The league’s management followed the development of the epidemiological situation in both countries and if necessary, the playoff system may be changed. BK Barons/LDz (previously Barons/LMT) was a professional basketball club which is based in Riga, Latvia. The team played in the first division of Latvian Basketball League. History Barons kvartāls was an integral part of Latvia's recent basketball history, as it (under the name Princips) was one of the foundation teams of the Latvian Basketball League (LBL) in 1992. In the first season Princips carried off bronze in the LBL. After two seasons Princips was renamed the LainERS, making their way into Latvia's basketball history with its first American legionary Mikki Jackson, with a cheerleader show and first ever game programmes in the Latvian league. BK Valmiera, named Valmiera Ordo for sponsorship reasons, was a professional basketball club based in Valmiera, Latvia which played in the Latvian Basketball League and Baltic Basketball League.
