Frankfurter Kreuz
The Frankfurter Kreuz (''Frankfurt Junction'') is an Autobahn interchange in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, where the autobahns A3 and A5 meet. The interchange was originally to be built from 1931 to 1933, but due to World War II construction was not finished until 1957. It underwent massive remodeling in the 1990s, as it had been frequently overloaded due to excess traffic. Today, both autobahns have ten lanes. Overview Two tunnels of the Cologne–Frankfurt high-speed rail line have been put below the Kreuz. The Kreuz is situated at the northeastern corner of Frankfurt Airport. Along with the airport and the airport's long-distance railway station, the Frankfurter Kreuz is commonly seen as a symbol of Frankfurt's good connections to the world. Weiß Kreuz
is a series conceptualized by voice actor Takehito Koyasu about four assassins that work in a flower shop called "Kitty in the House". The assassins are members of a group called Weiß (white), which is run by Persia of the mysterious Kritiker organization. The ''Weiß Kreuz'' franchise includes two seasons of anime and one OVA series, a light novel, two manga series, and several drama CDs. The four voice actors of the main characters – Koyasu, Hiro Yūki, Shin-ichiro Miki, Tomokazu Seki – formed a band named "Weiß"; several CDs and singles were released. Media Blasters released the anime in the North America as ''Knight Hunters: Weiß Kreuz''. The Friedrich-August Cross was a German decoration of the First World War. It was set up on 24 September 1914 by Frederick Augustus II, Grand Duke of Oldenburg, with two classes, for (to quote its citation) "all persons of military or civilian status, who have shown outstanding service during the war itself". Insignia The Friedrich-August-Kreuz is a black iron cross pattée with a laurel wreath between the arms. The obverse of the cross bears a circular central medallion with the initials ''FA''. The Wiesbadener Kreuz is a full cloverleaf interchange near the Hessian state capital of Wiesbaden in Germany where the Autobahnen A3 and A66 meet. It lies within the northeastern edge of Hochheim am Main. The interchange was opened in 1939 and was one of the first interchanges in Germany. Used by approximately 210,000 vehicles per day, it is one of the most frequented interchanges in Hesse and Germany. The portion of the A3 between the Wiesbadener Kreuz and Kreuz Fürth/Erlangen is traditionally one of the most congested sections of Autobahn in Germany. The road has over the years undergone many projects to improve traffic flow and repairing/replacing the surface, including replacing the bridges that take the A3 over the A66.
